Description:
I spent 35 years learning from the people most healthcare conversations leave out — naturopaths, homeopaths, chiropractors, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicine practitioners, nutritionists, and the medical doctors who took them seriously. I’m not a physician. I’m something rarer: someone who got to watch all of it, across every discipline, with no professional pressure to pick a side.
What I saw, again and again, was that chronic illness doesn’t behave like an acute disease. It behaves like a system that has lost the ability to regulate itself. And the pharmaceutical-first model — built for acute care — was never designed to address that.
I tried for years to put it into a book. None of those drafts worked.
During the Covid pandemic, I asked myself a different question: if I could only say one thing, what would it be?
This 35-page pamphlet is the answer. It’s not a survey of the field. It’s a direct argument: the pharmaceutical approach to chronic illness has failed us, and the path forward already exists.
