There are two obvious reasons why our healthcare system, despite its significant achievements, must evolve and embrace a deeper understanding of human biology, one that includes the principles of quantum physics.
- Reason One: Modern medicine knows neither the cause nor the cure for the vast array of chronic and autoimmune diseases that plague our society. Pharmaceutical medicines manage symptoms, sometimes, but they are not curative.
- Reason Two:Our healthcare system does not know how the fascinating research and knowledge in the field of quantum physics will advance our ability to diagnose and treat disease.
Medicine today largely focuses on chemical processes, with drugs created to adjust those pathways and manage results. But we are only beginning to uncover the deeper truth of how our bodies generate and balance energy. At the most fundamental level, we are radiant beings of energy and light.
Quantum Physics and the Human Body

Quantum physics is the study of energy and light, and the subatomic particles that are a critical part of our energy system. The knowledge and wisdom we are beginning to develop from this study is beyond fascinating.
Some of the products and modalities in natural medicine are focused on our biochemistry, and some are focused on our biophysics. These two systems within the body are certainly interconnected, and one affects the other. But if you only know one and assume the other takes care of itself, you are missing huge opportunities to help patients return to health.
Natural and Functional Medicine
Early in my path, I began to see how chiropractic medicine, acupuncture, energy healers, reiki practitioners, homeopathy, and other modalities were addressing the body’s biophysics much more than its biochemistry. And often with great success!
Additionally, I learned about diagnostic tools based on quantum physics that go far beyond our primary physician’s blood tests. Electrodermal screening, applied kinesiology, body scans, and other tools can read the energetic health of various organs and systems within the body. Further, they allow the practitioner to judge the most appropriate remedies to help return the patient’s human organism to balance.
Emotional Health and the Subconscious Body
There is a belief in the natural/functional medicine world that your body is the subconscious mind. Thus, most of our emotional aches and pains show up as physical ailments.
I watched massage therapists work certain areas of tightness in a patient, only to have the patient break into tears as a trauma or emotional pain from their past works its way to the surface.

Quantum Physics and Migraine Research
With support from several doctor friends, I conducted a study on a nutritional approach to migraines. The study caught the attention of Michael Coleman, executive director of M.A.G.N.U.M.—The National Migraine Association, an advocacy group for migraine sufferers.
At first, I was skeptical when he suggested that medical doctors might find value in my research. He explained that neurologists, like their patients, are often frustrated by the inconsistent results of pharmaceutical treatments. This is understandable, as neurology deals with the brain and nervous system—systems rooted more in the body’s biophysics than its biochemistry. That distinction helps explain why modern medicine struggles not only with neurological treatments but also with mental health care.
The bottom line is that the human body is a dynamic system. A truly amazing array of balancing and counterbalancing mechanisms is constantly striving to keep us healthy. Some of those mechanisms are based in biochemistry and some are based in biophysics.
How sad that the dominant influence of the pharmaceutical industry has kept healthcare so focused on biochemistry that we are just now beginning to understand the role of biophysics.
The Quantum Physics Advantage in Healthcare
Healthcare has long focused on chemistry and drugs, largely due to the influence of the pharmaceutical industry. This narrow view often overlooks the role of physics in the body.
The exciting news is that new research in quantum physics is opening doors to better understanding health—especially for brain and mental health conditions.
The body is an interconnected system, where even small changes can transform health and well-being. To truly move medicine forward, we must go beyond chemistry alone and embrace the deeper insights that quantum physics brings to healthcare.
