About Me

Our Mission

Our mission is to be a voice of clarity and reason, helping citizens understand the urgent need for healthcare reform. By revealing the limits of the pharmaceutical model, we aim to empower individuals to take charge of their own health and pursue lasting vitality.

Hello, I’m Tom Staverosky

I am a peaceful, joyful, playful man. I don’t have any bones to pick with anyone other than the pharmaceutical companies. I’ve walked this planet for 71 years, and my ego and I try our best to be guided by patience, acceptance, gratitude, forgiveness, love, and humility.

I’m blessed to be the father of four fantastic, self-reliant children and two adorable grandchildren. I hope they learn to be critical thinkers and how to have fun because of my influence.

As a Duke University graduate with a Dual Degree in Political Science and Education, I initially planned on becoming a lawyer, then a teacher, but by the time I graduated, I still didn’t know what the hell I was going to be!

An entrepreneurial adventure landed me in the center of the natural medicine world in the 1990s. Here, I found my passion. It was heady times for the natural medicine world and I witnessed the formation of functional medicine and the rebirth of naturopathy.

I could be called a citizen scientist. While my focus was on the business side of natural medicine, I also trained as a practitioner in a relatively unique form of energy healing based on what the
fascinating field of quantum physics is teaching us about health and the human body.

Additionally, I studied with a healer who focuses on detoxification of the body and the use of herbal remedies and high quality nutrition to return the body to normal function and health

I am also a researcher who received a US Patent on a unique approach to migraine treatment. Our study was published in a peer reviewed medical journal in 2001.

I consider myself a critical thinker. I rarely believe what I read without digging deeper to understand the full context of the topic. My experience tells me that various special interests inappropriately influence the media reports on most subjects.

I see minimal proper investigative reporting from the media. To establish an opinion or belief on any particular subject. I need to understand what the contrarians, those that disagree with accepted dogma, in that field believe and why. There is always more than one solution to every dilemma. Looking at a topic through different lenses can clarify many complex things.

I apply my energy, enthusiasm, curiosity, and intelligence as a citizen scientist and critical thinker most consistently in two areas. They are healthcare, my focus, and climate change, my hobby.

The common thread between my focus and my hobby is that the human body and the planet are dynamic systems. Those who study dynamic systems are often humbled by the realization that they are so complex and the mechanisms within each are so interactive and interdependent that our brightest minds still realize that what we know and understand about dynamic systems is dramatically overshadowed by what we still do not understand.

To quote a climate scientist from a book I recently read, “It’s hard to model what you do not understand!” The contrarian perspectives in each arena are fascinating and offer a more complete understanding of each dynamic system.

I aim to be a voice of knowledge and wisdom as our healthcare system evolves beyond their current focus on drugs and surgery.

The idea that medical doctors should have only these two tools in their tool bags is a fallacy. Drugs and surgery have an essential role in a healthcare system that serves us all well, but there is much more that helps the body recover from various diseases.
